Layer Style Effects are Gone in JPG Files
Continuing my previous Photoshop tutorials about layer style to make photo effects, I will show you about why the layer style is no longer appear in jpeg/jpg files. Because those file only has background layer, so the layer style will combined in to the background. You SHOULD save the file in psd, pdd (the default Photoshop files) to make the layers information saved along with the layer style effects.

Photoshop since earlier version has provided some beautiful Styles that are ready to use. Styles is a set of layer style effect that combined into one button. You can access the Styles from Window > Styles. By default it is located in top right of the Photoshop panel/palette.
