Open the Torchsoft ASCII Art Studio software (you can download it by the link in the earlier paragraph of this tutorial), or use any ASCII art image converter software that you have in your computer.
Select File > Convert Picture to ASCII Art …
Browse to the file that we have optimized. Select the size of ASCII art image that we want to make. You can make it as big as the original picture, or determine it manually by adding the number in the provided form (the bigger the number will result a more detailed ASCII Art, but it will need lot of text characters to make it). Select also what ASCII text character you want to use.
Click OK, wait a while and then you will get the image is already converted in to ASCII art photo effect.
You can save the result in to text (.txt) file format, or save it as a black and white gif file format as ASCII art image photo effect below.
