Tutorial on How to Make ASCII Art Photo Effect

ASCII art is a popular graphic design technique that using image that made from the unity of series of texts. ASCII art was begin at some years ago when in that time printer technology is lacking of graphical ability so it can only using text characters to give graphical output. Although printer technology is developing, the art of the text graphic is still available right now, and this art is having lot of fans and fun.
There are so many software and online service that can be use to make ASCII art right now. I am using one of the free trial software to generate ASCII art, which is the Torchsoft ASCII Art Studio. You can download it for free in here.
To make the image that you will convert will resulting a clear and sharp ASCII art image, you have to adjust the image a bit before you generate it with texts.
How to Optimize the ASCII art with Photoshop
Open the photo or picture that you want to convert it in to ASCII art. In this Photoshop tutorial I use a free photo collection from Andy Newson / FreeDigitalPhotos.net
Duplicate the background layer, you can do this by press Ctrl + J.
Select the Photoshop menu: Filter > Stylish > Find Edges
