How to Split Channel in to Separated Images
Open any of your images or photo. I use free royalty image of fresh fruit and vegetables from 1876-stock.xchng for this Photoshop CS4 tutorial. After you open the image, activate or select the Channel panel.
Click on the panel option button, and then select Split Channels.
Because this image is in RGB mode, the image will be separated in to three files, each of them are presented in the corresponding channel. Here are three of them:
Split Red channel image
Split Green channel image
Split Blue channel image
Don’t worry about the original one, because these are different files. The original image is still untouched.
