In this Photoshop tutorial I write about History Panel. History itself in Photoshop is a way to store information about previously step about what you have done with your image. Those entire steps (20 of them) can be seen in History Panel.

History Panel can store up to 20 steps. It means when you do the 21’s, the first step will no longer available. These number can be manually adjusted via Edit > Preference > Performances. Change the number of History States in there and then click OK. But you must adjust it according to your computer RAM size. Don’t make the number too large, it will slow down some old computer. But I assume that you have a great computer specs because you are able to use Photoshop CS4.

Whenever you make a change on your working image, the History panel will show that steps.

The image above shows us the step I have done with the image. If we need go back at previous condition before certain steps, we just have to click corresponding step name. The image below shows that we can undo the image condition through more than one step.
