Content Aware Scale, a New Transform Feature
Sponsored LinksThis time we will try to manually select a part of important area that we want to protect. To do this, we have to make a selection around the protected area, in this case is the red boat. Selection can be made by using Lasso tool, or other selection tool in Photoshop CS4.
Save this selection by select Select > Save Selection. Type a name as you want for this selection.
When we save a selection, this selection will become a new channel in channel panel.
Now we will use Content Aware Scale feature. Select this feature from Edit > Content Aware Scale. In the option bar, select Your Saved Selection Name in Protect option.
