This Photoshop CS4 tutorial will continue my previous post about changing brush color. We have learn how to change brush color using Foreground and Background, and now I will write about Brush Color Dynamic.

Color dynamics can be use to adjust how your brush color when it stroked

Brush color dynamic can be accessed trough the Photoshop CS4 brush panel. If the brush panel are not visible right now, because it is not visible by default, you can select it from Window > Brushes menu or by press F5 on the keyboard. You can also select a painting workspace. This workspace is available by Photoshop CS4 default. You can use this workspace by select Window > Workspace > Painting or just select from the dropdown menu in top right of Photoshop window.

I use two green color as in the picture below. In the first row, the green on left are stroked with Foreground color, and the right one is stroked with Background color. I use X key to switch them.

The second row on the image above is made by checking the option of Color Dynamic, and adjust the Foreground/Background jitter up to 50%. As can be seen in the image above, this option give me a range color from the original Foreground to the Background color.

The more value in this option will bring more drastically color change. This color will change with every stroke, event if you click and drag it as I have done. If you want to specify the color variance, you can use the option drop down menu that located just below Foreground/Background jitter slider.
