HDRLabs is recently made a new management system that uses an older Nintendo DS console to provide more options to photographers seeking to get the most out of their DSLR cameras. This new system is called Open Camera Controller (OCC), a system that make a Nintendo DS game console able to work with the control function of Canon, Olympus, and Sigma DLSR Camera.
With a few hack and modification in the hardware interface, HDRLabs claim that they can make the DLSR Camera to connect with the Nintendo console. Even more, the result of those firmware is making new unique abilities. This is a very helpful feature for anyone who specialized in the process to become better photographers. Plus, this is an inexpensive game device, a friendly price for anyone pockets and it was designed to withstand when being used by kids, so it is nearly indestructible.
HDRLabs is not only sell the ideas of OCC, but also giving tutorial on how we make our own OCC. You can visit them for step-by-steps tutorial of make OCC at home and how to add an IR circuit to the OCC. There are also some open source applications that can be downloaded for free.
