In this Photoshop tutorial, I am writing about water reflection effects. We can make an ordinary image or photos to have a reflection image below it. It is very simple to make. This Photoshop technique is quite old actually, I have already written about this many years ago in other site. Now we will try to make it by using Photoshop CS4.

Tutorial to make water reflection effect using Photoshop CS4

Step 1
Open your photo or image using Photoshop. In this tutorial, I use background wallpaper from Windows XP.

Step 2
Duplicate the layer. You can do this by press Ctrl+J, or by drag the layer name in to Create new layer icon, or by select Layer > New > Layer via copy.

Step 3
Change the Photoshop canvas size. In this photo effects tutorial we need to make this image to 200% taller. To make this happen, we have to select Image > Canvas Size.

Check on the relative option in this Photoshop tutorial. Then fill 100 percent on height, 0 percent on width. Select middle top position on the anchor.
