Photoshop Tutorial to Make Ripped Photo Effect

If you want to rotate the other half that still as Background layer:

  1. Select the selection channel (step 3)
  2. Load it as selection (step 5)
  3. Invert the selection. You can do this by select Select > Invert menu
  4. Continue to step 6

Step 8
Now we will add some shadow on that layers. You can do this by select Layer > Layer Style > Drop Shadow.

Step 9
Here is the result of this tutorial.

If you want the outside part of layer also visible, select Image > Reveal All to make all of the image visible. Thus, the image size will increase.

Or, you can just delete the half layer, so you will get an empty space.

Maybe this empty space can be use to write down something?

    • @Horrible Tutorial: Would you like to describe the problem? I will gladly to help. Usually this tutorial is causing problem at step 7, in the inverting the selection process.
