Photoshop Tutorial of Dark Edge Border Photo Effects

Photo effects like this one, a dark border edge around photos are a common effect that can be used to make more dramatic photos. In this Photoshop tutorial, I will show you how to make the effects. Actually this is only one of them, because there is more than one technique to make it.
Step 1
Open your photo with Photoshop. You can use Photoshop CS4 or any previous version. In this tutorial, I use a picture from my hard drive. I don’t remember from where I got this bird image, maybe from Windows wallpaper collection.
Step 2
Make a new layer. You can do this, by click the Create New Layer button at bottom of Photoshop Layer panel.
Step 3
Fill this layer with black color. As seen in this Photoshop tutorial, you can use Edit > Fill to make the photo effects.
