Patterned Line Photo Effect
Sponsored LinksStep 9 (to make the patterned line)
Make a new file in Photoshop. Use White background and it doesn’t have to be large, 640×480 pixels is enough.

Select Pencil tool or Brush tool (with hard shape). Adjust it to approximately 4 pixels and use it to make a straight line.

Use Crop tool to make the image smaller, leaving only the black line and a little of its white background.

Select Edit > Define Brush Preset. Name it Line Pattern or anything you want.

Step 10
Go back to the previous file we were working at. Now make a new layer, place it below the Hue/Saturation adjustment layer. The Hue/Saturation layer has to be in top of every layer.
Fill this new layer with Black color. You can fill it by using Edit > Fill and select Black at Use option Or by press D then Alt + Backspace. Change the blending option of this black filled layer to Overlay.

Step 11
Select Brush tool, and make sure the custom brush we have made before is selected now.

The Foreground color should be White, and now we have to modifying the brush shape. You may reduce the brush nip size if you think it is too large. I use 90 px for this tutorial.
Note: If you download the brush, you don’t have to adjust this Brush shape as below, because I have included the adjustment on that brush. You can continue to next step of this Photoshop tutorial (Step 12).
