In this Photoshop CS4 tutorials, we will make an old photo effect. We will make a new photo to look like old and torn apart in some place. I usually find this in my never opened photo album.
Step 1
Open any image with your Photoshop CS4.
I use an image from FreeDigitalPhotos.net for this tutorial.
Step 2
Change the color of your image into black and white. The simple way to do this is by select Image > Adjustment > Desaturate or by pressing Ctrl + Shift + U.
Step 3
Make a new layer. I have mark an icon in this tutorial image below. That is the Create New Layer icon.
