Here is the result after we use Photoshop’s Displace filter.

Too bad there are some unwanted results at the white stars. Twenty values for the displacement is too much, although the other parts are as I wanted. So, to get the detail back in the stars, we can use Photoshop’s History Brush tool. You can read more about it in Photoshop CS4 History Brush Tutorial.

Select History Brush and use one previously step in the History Panel. And then stroke the brush at the star images.

Here is the result of making USA flag graffiti in wall by using Photoshop CS4, after I remove displacement effects at the stars, because I feel the brick wall texture on it is enough.
